International exchange of information

International Cooperation

The School of Management actively engages in international exchanges, establishing sister-school relationships with numerous institutions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. This not only provides students with diverse opportunities for overseas exchange programs but also welcomes international students to study here. The school also regularly invites foreign scholars to give lectures to broaden students' international view. In addition, it encourages faculty members to participate in international academic conferences to ensure that teaching materials keep up with the latest trends and maintain a high standard of teaching.

To date, the School of Management has established sister-school relationships with 10 universities in Europe (from France, Switzerland, and Germany), 4 universities in the Americas (from the United States and Canada), and 11 universities in Asia (from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Bangladesh, Russia, and Malaysia). These partnerships provide students with a variety of opportunities to study abroad, and the school continues to expand its international exchange network.

Information

  • To participate in exchange or dual degree programs, students must be currently enrolled at National Chung Cheng University (regardless of the semester of application or exchange).
  • Admitted students are responsible for all aspects of their exchange, including obtaining visas, booking flights, arranging transportation, and finding accommodation. Foreign universities may not provide any assistance with these matters.
  • Exchange students taking courses at sister schools are required to pay NCU tuition and fees and complete the university's registration procedures. They do not need to pay sister school tuition or register for courses at NCU. Instead, they should delete the required courses from the course selection system. In addition, male students who are subject to military service must complete the procedures for overseas travel with the Student Safety Office at least one month before departure.
  • Due to the different administrative procedures of sister schools, transcripts may not be available to students in a timely manner for credit recognition. It is recommended that students who are about to graduate complete all required credits before going abroad to avoid delays in graduation.
  • Please submit a report within two months after returning to Taiwan to provide a reference for other students who are considering studying abroad.

Application Procedures

  1. Complete the Exchange/Dual Degree Student Program Application Form and Parental Consent Form.
  2. Submit the completed forms and other required documents to the department office within the deadline specified on the School of Management website. (Attachments such as instructions, transcript processing instructions, departure and return notification forms, credit recognition application forms).
  3. The review process will take two months after the deadline, or shorter depending on the circumstances. Please be patient.
  4. The review results will be notified to students via email. The email will also ask students to reply whether they accept the nomination. Failure to reply within the deadline will be considered a waiver of the qualification. If a student chooses to accept the nomination, they cannot change their mind or choose to participate in an exchange program offered by the International Office instead. This could lead to dissatisfaction from the School of Management's sister schools and affect the opportunities for other students to study abroad.
  5. After accepting the nomination, please collect the original paper application materials submitted earlier from the department office and scan them into electronic files.
  6. The International Affairs Officer at the School of Management will compile a list of nominated students and send an official email to the contact person at the sister school. A copy of this email will be sent to the student. The student can then send their electronic application materials to the contact person at the sister school and wait for the school's review.
  7. The sister school's review process takes from one week to one and a half months. Please be patient.
  8. Once the sister school has completed its review, it will email the results to the student and send an electronic and paper version of the admission letter. The student can use this letter to apply for a visa.
  9. Please arrange your own visa and airfare and contact the sister school contact person for information on accommodation, course selection, and other matters.
  10. For both departure and return, please complete the attached "Departure and Return Notification Form" and send it back to the Teaching Division of the university within two weeks by email or fax.
  11. For overseas exchange, please remember to bring back the original transcript (paper copy) for credit recognition. Upon returning to Taiwan, please complete the "Credit Recognition Application Form" and submit both documents to the department office, then the School of Management. After the review is approved, it will be sent to the Teaching Division for credit recognition.
  12. Within two months after returning from abroad, please submit a report to the International Affairs Officer at the School of Management. This report will be published online for the reference of other students who are considering studying abroad.
