1  Position and Start Date

The College of Management invites applications and nominations for Chair of the Department of Finance. The term of office will begin on February 1, 2027.

2  Qualifications

Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or above under the Act Governing the Appointment of Educators and possess the following qualifications:

• Expertise in finance or a related field.
• Strong administrative, leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• An outstanding record of academic research and extensive teaching experience.
• A strong commitment to service and the ability to lead the department’s development.
• An international outlook.

3  Term of Office

The term of office is generally three years, with eligibility for one renewal.

4  Applications and Nominations

Candidates may apply directly or be nominated by others. Nominators must obtain the nominee’s consent in advance.

5  Required Documents and Deadline

Candidates should submit a curriculum vitae detailing their education, professional experience, academic achievements, and administrative experience; a list of publications; a statement of their vision for leading the department; and a nomination letter or a letter of application. All materials must reach the College of Management, National Chung Cheng University, by October 28, 2026. The date of the postal postmark or the date of receipt by the College of Management will determine whether a submission is on time. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
